The cottage is on a quiet lane, just five minutes walk from Wells’ bustling quay and town centre. It is in walking distance of the stunning sandy beach at Wells and Holkham. The town has fantastic fish and chips, proper local pubs, a brilliant boat-pub, old-fashioned arcades and an excellent local butcher, baker, deli, grocer, secondhand bookshop etc.
The surrounding countryside is full of nature reserves, marshes, woodland, beautiful flint churches, old railway lines and stately homes. You can hire bikes in Wells and explore the area - it is good cycling country.
