No 1 Boatman’s Row is an idyllic old fisherman’s cottage. It offers a relaxing holiday in a great location with fantastic views, a south-facing garden, wood burning stove, parking and a full linen service included.
Popular with wildlife lovers, walkers or those escaping the hustle and bustle, the cottage is on a quiet lane and makes a brilliant retreat.
The cottage has original features, an attic room with views of the marshes and a beautifully situated cottage garden to relax in.
The property has one bedroom with a king sized bed and sleeps two adults in comfort.
Downstairs is a living room with two sofas, a wood-burning stove, TV, DVD, radio and a small fully-equipped kitchen with cooker, fridge, washing machine etc.
Upstairs is a double bedroom and a bathroom with bath and shower.
The loft has been converted into an additional sitting room with beautiful views of the marshes and the sea beyond.
The cottage has a sunny south facing garden with a small lawn, flowers, barbecue and bench.
There is off-street parking for one car.
The cottage is on a quiet lane, just five minutes walk from Wells’ bustling quay and town centre. It is in walking distance of the stunning sandy beach at Wells and Holkham. The town has fantastic fish and chips, proper local pubs, a brilliant boat-pub, old-fashioned arcades and an excellent local butcher, baker, deli, grocer, secondhand bookshop etc.
The surrounding countryside is full of nature reserves, marshes, woodland, beautiful flint churches, old railway lines and stately homes. You can hire bikes in Wells and explore the area – it is good cycling country.
Fantastic stay, loved the cottage - everything we needed was there, lovely and quiet, great location. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Cottage lovely – so central but so peaceful.
Wonderful little cottage, great location (we love the view from the attic) and lovely garden – we have never seen so many butterflies!
A great cottage to stay in – felt like a home (not a holiday home!)
What an amazing cottage, brilliant views and lovely fires to come back to… can’t wait to come back again.
