Clementine Cottage is a Grade II listed property that dates back to the 1500s. It is full of character and original features, including old oak beams and exposed floorboards.

Beautifully furnished and decorated, the three-storey former shoe shop has an open plan living area downstairs, a double bedroom and bathroom on the first floor and a further bedroom with king size bed and en suite bathroom on the second floor.

The cottage is on a quiet street, just a short walk from the harbour, shops and restaurants.

Ground Floor

Entering through the front door leads you straight into the open plan living area with pammant tile flooring. Comfortable sofas, side tables and armchairs surround a large wood burning stove. A Smart TV can be found in the corner, as can board games and DVDs. Plenty of cushions and lamps keep the lounge area cosy.

The dining area by the window has a dining table and chairs to seat four people.

The kitchen area has a Bosch electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave and a small fridge (with freezer compartment). The kitchen is well equipped, and includes tea towels and oven gloves, cleaning materials and dishwasher tabs.

A utility room leading off from the kitchen contains a washing machine, outdoor furniture and two adult bikes which are available for use by guests (at their own risk).

Other useful items such as hair dryer, clothes airer, ironing board and iron are also available.

Through a door by the dining area are stairs leading to the first floor. Please note that the cottage has traditional Norfolk winder stairs, which are steep and narrow.

First Floor

This bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables and lamps, dressing table, numerous storage cupboards, exposed floorboards and a decorative fireplace.

The separate bathroom has a large walk-in shower, bath with shower attachment, WC, basin and heated towel rail. Bath towels are provided.

Second Floor

The top floor bedroom has a king size bed, bedside tables and lamps, storage cupboard, chest of drawers, comfy chairs, oak beams and a skylight window.

The en suite has a walk-in shower, WC, sink, shaver point and heated towel rail. Bath towels are provided.

Both bedrooms feature sumptuous fabrics and soft furnishings with vintage-style decor.


At the rear of the property is a small cobbled courtyard with a table and chairs for four people.

Unfortunately there is no parking at the cottage, but free parking is available at the bottom of the High Street or on The Buttlands. Several car parks with paid parking can be found in the town centre.
