Newly refurbished for 2023, Compass Cottage (No.9 Brig Square) is an original Fisherman's Cottage, built circa 1648 and full of character including old oak beams and alcoves.

The spacious 2 bedroom property is spread over 3 floors and can comfortably sleep 5 guests. All staircases are straight and easy to use.

Downstairs:

The entrance to Compass Cottage leads into a comfortable lounge with character oak beam ceiling and feature fireplace and dining area.

The well equipped kitchen has a conventional electric cooker, small fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, cafetiere, washing machine, toaster, kettle etc.

Cloakroom toilet and wash basin.

Upstairs:

The first floor bedroom has a double bed with bedside tables, chest of drawers and built in cupboard.

Bathroom with bath/overhead shower, washbasin and toilet.

The second floor has 3 adult single beds with bedside cabinets, drawers, built in cupboard and shelves.

There are two gardens to the front and rear of the property. South facing enclosed garden with patio furniture, lawn, drying area and bicycle shed.

The cottage has lovely views across the marshes, harbour and out to sea.

Private, off road parking.

Property Location

Wells is close to several famous nature reserves including Holkham, Cley, Titchwell and Pensthorpe. It's ideal for walkers and bird watchers. Wells has a wonderful harbour and fishing community, and a lovely beach dotted with colourful beach huts against a backdrop of pine trees.

There are plenty of superb eateries from cafés and coffee shops to gastro pubs, restaurants and fish 'n' chip shops. The narrow main street has various independent shops with great choices for everyone, from fashion and gifts to delicious local produce.

Compass Cottage is within easy walking distance of the quay, shops and restaurants.
