Freeholders is a unique property with stunning views across the marshes and creeks of Wells. Living accommodation is on the first floor, and both bedrooms have king size beds. There is a first floor bathroom and a downstairs shower room, and a secluded roof terrace with 360 degree views, making the most of the wonderful surroundings.

The open plan living and dining area has beautiful oak parquet flooring throughout and a wall of windows overlooking the salt marshes. The living area has an enormous squishy sofa and several small armchairs making this a convivial and sociable space – ideal for relaxing and watching the tide come in and out. There is a smart TV with a Sky package, games and cards. A large bookcase in the bedroom has hundreds of books with something to suit everybody.
The kitchen includes a microwave, kettle, 4-slice toaster, cafetieres, full-sized dishwasher, under-counter fridge and freezer. There is no conventional cooker but a 2-door electric AGA. The AGA stays on permanently and does not require turning on or off. An AGA Cookbook is supplied.
There’s plenty of crockery, cutlery, serving dishes and all the necessary cooking utensils. There is also a selection of herbs and spices for guests to use.
There is an additional large larder fridge in the utility room downstairs. Also a washing machine, tumble dryer, drying rack and an iron and ironing board. The utility room has ample hanging space and doubles as a boot-room.
Both bedrooms have extremely comfortable king size beds. The front bedroom features a large drop-down window with amazing views that can be enjoyed from the bed.
The first floor bathroom is ideal for relaxing with a shower bath, toilet, large sink, heated mirror and parquet flooring. The downstairs shower room is a practical room for post-beach adventures with a large walk in shower, heated towel rail and independent underfloor heating. Towels for the bathrooms are provided but please bring your own beach towels. Basic soaps and toilet roll are also included.
A truly special feature is the secluded roof terrace with 360 degree views, furniture for lounging and dining, and a dumbwaiter to bring food and drink from the kitchen.
There is a car parking space opposite the house.
Freeholders is situated on East Quay just a few steps away from shops, pubs and restaurants.

Truly wonderful location, the views are incredible and it is an architectural gem. The people in Wells are friendly, with several nearby coffee shops and tasty restaurants. The beaches are lovely.
Our second visit to Freeholders. It's so well designed and the views from the front are just wonderful.
The property is top end and has absolutely everything you need for a lovely stay and the views are absolutely mesmerising. Plenty of hot water, great heating system and a lovely Aga to cook on.

What a fabulous place. It really is exceptional. Equipped with everything we could possibly need. But still very comfortable and cosy. And the view! Why would you want to leave? Perfect for a relaxing time away.
The views… wow they are incredible! From numerous perspectives in the property, from the sofa, from the dining table, whilst cooking some food on the AGA, or whilst having a cup of tea in bed! The place is amazing! Oh I forgot the views from the roof terrace.
We loved pretty much everything about this gorgeous house - stylish, comfortable, exceptional design, wonderful location and views to die for! A perfect winter getaway and we can’t wait to return, thank you.
From the outside it's nothing special, but on the inside it's spectacular. Things that don't normally get mentioned in reviews are simply brilliant here, from the orange glass kitchen worktop to the dumb waiter that carries your breakfast to the roof terrace.
A beautiful place to stay. With such fab views across the creek, I could finally appreciate the huge East Anglian skies.
