Brig Square Holiday Cottages is a group of four holiday properties steeped in maritime history. Each cottage has its own unique character, and all are set within a private square with parking for each property. Brig Square is surrounded by lovely buildings, some dating back to 1648. It is close to the Quay, shops and restaurants.

Porthole Cottage (No.7 Brig Square) is a well appointed traditional fisherman’s cottage circa 17th century. Spread over 3 floors this spacious character cottage sleeps 6-7 guests.

The south facing garden is enclosed so youngsters can play in safety, and there is private off road parking.

The entrance porch leads into a spacious wood beamed lounge with a feature brick inglenook fireplace. Adjacent is a portion of exposed wall behind glass showing the authentic wattle & daub structure used in the 17th century.

There are comfortable sofas and a dining area for 6 guests.

The sunny, south facing kitchen is newly refurbished for 2019, and includes an electric fan oven and halogen hob, microwave, dishwasher and family fridge freezer.

Downstairs is a cloakroom with toilet and wash basin.

Leading from the rear entrance porch is a private south facing garden with lawn and patio furniture.

On the first floor is a spacious bedroom that faces the square. It has a double bed and fitted wardrobe.

The second bedroom also has a double bed with modern furniture and small fitted wardrobe.

The bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower, toilet, wash basin and shaving point.

On the second floor is the attic bedroom with 3 single beds, modern furniture and fitted cupboard. This room has wonderful views across the marshes and harbour.
