Situated on the High Street, The Old Bakery has been restored to provide a comfortable and contemporary holiday experience. Sensitively modernised in 2016, it still maintains its original charm.
The cottage is 100 yards from Staithe Street and the Buttlands, with free parking 30 yards from the front door. The quay with its fishing boats and restaurants and pubs is a 2 minute walk away.
The accommodation features an open plan kitchen and dining room, cosy lounge, two bedrooms and en-suite bathroom.
The kitchen with its stripped board floor has a lofted ceiling, a range of shaker units, a fridge-freezer and dishwasher, with seating around a pine table for 6-8 people. A washing machine and tumble drier are available in an adjacent utility room.
The comfortable lounge has a gas burning stove, modern Smart-TV with Blu-ray player and movies for you to enjoy. A range of classic family board games are available.
Downstairs features a shower room and toilet, whilst upstairs offers a large bathroom.
The master bedroom has a four poster double bed, with a built in wardrobe for storage. Off of the master bedroom the bathroom features a large Fired Earth bath and heated towel rail. The second bedroom features two full size single beds with under bed storage, drawers and shelving.
Outside of the stable door is a south facing patio area with seats and a table. A brick outhouse provides storage for crab buckets, spades and bikes. There is Wi-Fi available throughout the property, but like the rest of Wells, it's slow!
Free parking is available 30 yards from the front door.
No. 58 is one of many former bakeries in Wells. It's located at the bottom of the (Old) High Street, a quiet narrow road. From the cottage all of Wells' attractions are within an easy walk.
The quay is two minutes away, the Buttlands, housing the famous Crown Hotel, is just around the corner, and it's a short hop skip and a jump to other pubs, restaurants, shops, nature trails and coastal paths.
